sončni zahod
šum odpadlih želodov
na robu gozda*

the text in english came first (as is usually the case). the slovene version doesn't work well if rendered literally, so i had to reverse L1 and L3 and make a few gramatical adjustments to make it work (still not completely pleased with it, though)

Very good Polona - It's a bit odd that one think in english before trying in mother language (I do that my self - always done) and then it's hard to convey the mother language poem into english (you never really get it right)- strange thought in the morning ...

ashi: my creative processes are a mystery to me... i hardly ever get to speak english; most of my communication is in writing, yet it's the language i feel most comfortable when creating. the muse i adopted (or was it she adopted me?:)) must be a native english speaker :)

eric: pleased to see you around. thank you!

Ha! I've been hearing the same thing lately! One nearby road is practically paved with acorns crushed by passing cars! (Hmmm. There's a haiku in that. I'll have to play with that image.)

I love the comment about your English speaking muse.
