Polona, I love your poetry about little creatures!
I saw a rather lethargic dragonfly on a recent autumn hike (I guess the season for them is nearing to a close). I'd like to share a close-up I got of the little creature. He sat quietly for us for as long as it took to get nice photos. Sweet little thing!
pat: autumn years? you can't be serious (ok, i'm feeling a little frayed myself from time to time)... thank you, pat!
kai: thank you! hugs
sb: can't be that bad... he's facing winter and you're in for the summer :) thank you.
dsnake1: thank you. i don't think they make it through the winter but their larvae do. after all, the imago represents only a short stage, albeit vital, in the life cycle of a dragonfly.
margie: thank you as always!
mb: another cycle coming to an end. thank you!
andrew: their colour is indeed amazing (i only slightly saturated this one)
bearded: so true. (i even saw a mating pair just over a week ago) thank you.
tim: thank you! (you guys could set up a frayed bloggers' club :) )
floots: many thanks. (the red ones seem to be around deep into autumn... still saw a couple of them after the first frost) i just had to do it after you directed me to that pic :) i recommend you (and everyone else for that matter) check out the link in dan's comment.
dan: you're too kind. thank you. thanks for the link - great shot!

At least he looks to be in better shape than this little butterfly. Nice work.

I also wonder what happens
if the weather is getting colder?
Noted also that the tree is ready for colder weather already.
VG...the day is coming...
tikkis: what happens to autumn leaves? i think that answers it...
masago: thank you. it's quite warm (relatively speaking) here still/again but it's coming allright...
So easy: just some weeks (months) colder period, and that's the final solution?
Just teasing...
This is perfect, and WHOA! to Dan's photograph. (Show-off.:) )
thank you, aurora... and that shot really is something...
