thank you as always, aurora. for some reason i'mreminded of my dad. he was never ever able to utter a single word of praise to any of his kids (and there's four of us; two from his first marriage and my younger sister and i), but he always claimed he was the perfect one. an egotistic bastard, rather, but i love him anyway...
thank you, sweet kai!
don: many thanks. i figured you might like this one :) yep...i guess you're right...
schrodingers cat (great nickname): thank you! you're welcome to drop by any time :)
charlie: as far as i could see it was quite still... but what do i know about the trees (if i saw it move i'd think it was an ent)
much appreciated, butterfly. thank you! (and guess what? that bare tree is the horse chestnut :))
pat, but you must admit there's a beauty in it... thank you.
dskane1: not praticularly warm, i'm afraid (there was frost in the morning on the day i took that photo).
margie: pleased you do. thank you!
masago: that's me :) thank you!
andrew: they sure are... from some trees sooner than from others...
mb: thank you. having a clear autumn sky is a bonus in the ljubljana basin where i live (and work). in the cold season it's frequently covered by fog or low clouds. but fortunately one doesn't have to go very far to rise above that cloud cover and find some clear sky.
trinitystar: that's amazing. hvala! where did you learn it? the language you understand and speak is probably croatian/serbian (slovenian is sligtly different), but that's no big deal really. welcome!

Sunlight and shadows are sometimes thought of as soft, but you've made it clear they were as crisp as the clear autumn sky!
