15 years ago slovenia declared sovereignty. the yugoslav army tried to prevent the secession which resulted in a brief war. eventually the negotiations were successful and we lucky to evade serious conflicts that later burst out in the rest of the (now deceased) country.
though never officially recognized, linden tree is a national symbol of slovenia…
I'm so glad that you're free! I met with my friend that went to Serbia and he showed his photos. Beautiful. I suppose you're land is similar? Oh I wish I could have gone there! Maybe another time.
andrew - hope you get to go there. i think there are similarities between the lands (serbia is much larger, though) but there are also differences... it's been a long time since i last visited serbia...
