A true revelation!:) Even for me, the daily observer of this castle in its yearly permutations. Most of the time it's just 'the castle!:)

Siempre viajando

Z malo nostalgije, lep pozdrav, Polona.

Very cool!

One of the nice things about hiking in the winter is that we get to see more "castle walls" from the mountain tops! ;)

aurora: thank you!
the haiku is actually a year old (don't tell anyone :))

hugs

john: many thanks!

borut: yep, when something gets too familiar you just take it for granted and don't even take notice... the water tower in kranj is quite an impressive structure but i didn't even notice it when i lived there.

pat: being exposed is not always a bad thing... you know how i feel about wows :) thank you!!

matt: i was hoping to get a better shot but had to make do with this one... it's the castle overlooking the old town of ljubljana...
thank you!

bearded: depends on the perspective... but yes, quite a lot of trees on that hill :)
thank you!

andrew: thank you!

masago: thank you. that's the flag of the town of ljubljana.

margie: thank you as always! glad you like it.

neikka: pozdrav tudi tebi.
in še angleška verzija /the english version of the haiku:

always a traveller
the shoes' footprints
have no home

amalendu: thank you.

deepak: welcome!

dsneke: thank you. loads of castles all over europe :)

dan: thank you. i usually prefer the green to the walls but as you say there are certain advantages.

charlie: i so enjoy your comments. thank you!

kranti: that's very kind of you to say. thank you.

first good job Polona - next who responsible for the white tower? My thought is it don't really belong it's out of context with the rest of that magnificent castle.

brane: wow, what perfect lyrics! thank you!
(i've not lived in ljubljana forever so i may not take that for granted as much as the natives :))
p.s.
do i know you?

floots: thank you. the older i get the more i notice the passing of time...

ashi: thank you, and well observed... that tower is a disgrace to the castle... and you should have seen the other side of the hill... it's all dug up as they're building a lift :(
