Blackbird's Song

I hear
the blackbird sing
for the first time this spring
the song echoes through the whiteness
of snow


just a begginner's attempt at cinquain... the idea didn't fit into haiku, so i tried to extend it to tanka, and ended up with this.

Your words are haunting. The sunset is spectacular. You've managed to relate the two, even if as you say there are no words to go with the photo. I think you've managed to bring everything together!

i was kind of hoping the poem and the photo would fit together and looks like it's worked.
